Kurdish demonstrators clash with Turkish soldiers on Ocalan birthday
AP-Police and soldiers fired warning shots into the air and used tear gas and truncheons Wednesday to disperse hundreds of stone-throwing Kurdish protesters in southeast Turkey.

TNA-The international journalist group, Reporters Without Borders (RSF), over the weekend wrote out a bitter statement on Turkey condemning the death threats made against a radio broadcaster while several Turkish intellectuals offered solidarity with the radio against threats by a mysterious extreme right group.

A “letter of spleen” was sent to the mayor of Kayapinar, Zulkuf Kara
Amed (DÎHA) – A letter was sent to the mayor of Kayapinar, Zulkuf Karatekin. The letter contained white powder and a piece of paper and a person called Laz Dîrenç had sent the letter to the mayor. It stood “I will destroy your “hewz” or bomb it, and be careful with your body”, in the letter.
