Children no Longer Tried like Members of Terror Organizations
Semra PELEK 22.07.2010-The Turkish Parliament passed clauses 1 to 7 of the first part of the
amendments of the Anti-Terror Law. Children shall no longer be tried as
if they were members of a terrorist organization. UNICEF appreciated the
adoption of the amendments.The General Assembly of the Turkish Parliament passed the first part of
the draft bill regarding amendments of the Anti-Terror Law (TMY) on
Tuesday (20 July) as a "fundamental law". The amendments are aimed at
sorting out the prosecution of children like adults under the TMY.
Karayilan: 'would disarm for Kurdish rights in Turkey'
Kurdish Info 21.07.2010- The President of the People’s Union of Kurdistan (KCK) Executive Council Murat Karayılan, has told the BBC it is willing to disarm in return for greater political and cultural rights for Turkey's Kurds.

Kurdish Guerilla against the armed forces Murat Karayılan the Chairman
of the executive council of KCK declared, that they were still not
nearly in position of warning and were still not fighting with all their
possibilities at the moment.
Kurdish Info 21.07.2010- Sidika Platin was beaten and tortured by her husband and placed in a women’s shelter for her protection. Faruk Platin cut her ear and knifed her face on September 25, 2009. Sidika stayed in a women’s shelter in Saray, a district of Van.
However, 45 days later, the judge ordered that she return to her
husband.
649 NGO to take initiative for solution of Kurdish problem
649 NGO from 20 cities issued a joint statement following workshop in
Diyarbakir and declared that they are going to take the initiative for
solution of Kurdish problem. They also established a partnership for
solution and named it as NGOs’ Initiative of the Region. Everyone should
take their fingers from trigger, was said in the first declaration of
the partnership.
Kurdish guerrillas of HPG laid an overnight ambush on a mobile military outpost in Çukurca district of Hakkari in which 30 Turkish soldiers were killed. While the outpost was destroyed completely the guerrillas seized military ordnance. It is reported that the ambush started at 01:30 and the special commando forces from Kayseri based 30 km far from Çukurca town centre were targeted. While 30 soldiers were killed in the attack heavy weapons like shell and howitzer launchers were also destroyed.
