700 children are in jail often for throwing stones during demonstrations
ANF 04.07.2010- On 1 April 2006, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan made
the following statement in relation to the incident: “I am addressing
mothers and fathers. Those who let their children out and allow them to
be used by the terror organisations will cry in vain tomorrow. Our
security forces will do whatever is needed whether the subjects are
women or children. No standards of democracy would condone such
incidents of violence”.

DIHA news agency reported on the death of yet another young man while in police custody. According to the report 35-year-old Resul Gur’s body has been taken by his family from the police. Gur was taken into custody at the Basaksehir Police Station in Istanbul last Wednesday. On Thursday police claimed that he committed suicide by throwing himself out of a window. An investigation about the police officers in Basaksehir Police Station was launched following the Gur family's doubts over what really happened.
ANF 02.07.2010-The bodies of two deceased Kurdish guerrillas have been filmed while being dragged on the ground and kicked by the Turkish soldiers.It is reported that the bodies belong to HPG guerrillas Metin Güleç (Zafer Cudi) and Yakup Dellayimilan (Harun Betirs) who lost their lives on 4th December 2009 in a clash in Cudi Mountain of Sirnak province. VIDEO - In the footage it is seen that while a Turkish soldier dragging the bodies which are partially in body bags, another soldier is kicking the bodies.The bodies of two Kurdish fighters were brought to Sirnak State Hospital Morgue. While the body of Yakup Dellayimilan who comes from East Kurdistan (Iran) remained in the morgue, the body of Metin Güleç following the autopsy buried on 11 January. Ten thousand people were present at the funeral.

scandals in Kurdish dominated southeastern Turkey, at least four girls
aged between 12 and 14 were found to have been sexually exploited by
state officials, including an assistant headmaster at a school and an
employee of a local police department, over a period of two years in
Siirt, a town located in a province plagued by fighting between the
Kurdish insurgency and Turkish army. Schoolboys and shopkeepers were
also involved.
A weird suggestion to solve the Kurdish question from Mayor of Rize
Kurdish Info 01.07.2010- Halil Bakirci, Mayor of Rize from Justice and Development Party (AKP),
suggested to men that if they chose second wives from the eastern part
of Turkey, increasing such relationships is going to decrease the
conflict between Kurds and Turks. This weird suggestion has been found
to be racist and sexist by women who strongly reacted against it.
