Kurdish Info 30.06.2010- Children, who are worst affected by the war, are continuing to be
killed, arrested and subjected to torture and maltreatment during their
detentions in prison. Below are a few headlines in relation to children:
Ceylan Onkol broke down the grenade thrower, haemophiliac Hasan Dundar
has been sentenced to 4 years in prison, and children are being tortured
in Maltepe prison.
TAKE ACTION: Execution of Zeynep Jalalian Imminent
Kurdish Info 30.06.2010- A woman named Zeynep Jalaliyan, whose whereabouts is unknown, is under the threat of execution. It is stated that Celaliyan, whose case is sent to the Execution Institution, could be executed at any time. Another Kurdish political captive named Hebibulla Gulperipur, who is in Mahabad prison, is also under the threat of execution. It has been found out that Gulperipur, who has been tortured for going on hunger strike, is constantly receiving death threats. In the meantime, although it has been 52 days, the bodies of 5 captives, 4 of whom are from PJAK, who have been executed on 9th May, are not still delivered to their families.
Kurdish Info 30.06.2010- People’s Union of Kurdistan (KCK) Executive Council Member Mustafa Karasu addressed the writers on the special war during the programme named Sela Sor on Roj TV and said that "reality cannot be disguised in any way". He explained that the special war will cause a lack of resolution. Evaluating the calls for a ceasefire, Karasu said that "ceasefire requires willingness on both sides".

authorities, having reached a decision for all-out war, have
also started to prevent the visits to Imrali. The interview between the
solicitors of Asrin Law Centre and Kurdish Peoples’ Leader Abdullah
Ocalan has been prevented twice last week. Most recently, the interview
with his brother, Mehmet Ocalan, has been prevented on the pretext that
the "coaster is out of order". It becomes clear on some news that the
visits have been deliberately prevented. According to the news, the
Ministry of Justice is looking for a new pretext to completely abolish
the visits.
‘Dialogue with Kurds is fundamental for a real Kurdish opening’

Silence broken after 18 years, bringing more atrocities to light
DIHA - Emine Gulmez broke her silence after 18 years of solitude and fear. She
and her husband were taken into custody where she later saw seven death
bodies, including her husband’s, though it was impossible to officially
identify. Like many others tormented in the region, Gulmez could not speak out for
the sake of her children’s safety. Now, after 5,000 extrajudicial
killings by Turkish forces in the region, this widow feels it high time
to speak out.
Human rights associations present report on burned villages
ANF 29.06.2010- It has been established that the villages of Keçeli (Bizinka) and Palamutlu (Xirbekûr) in Hasankeyf district of Batman and Gunesli (Semsê) in Siirt had been burnt deliberately and arbitrary by soldiers. This is the conclusion reached by the Human Rights Association (IHD) which had sent a committee to investigate the allegations. It was alleged that the mentioned villages have been set on fire on June 23 and five thousand square meters of cultivated land reduced to ashes during the fire.
Tolga Korkut - Erhan Üstündağ 29.06.2010- 98 NGOs from Diyabakır call for an end of the military operations. They urge the PKK to stop their actions and demand the Parliament to prepare the legal grounds for a solution of the Kurdish question. The PKK waits for concrete steps before they will act accordingly.
