Cemil Bayik: The issue is being discussed in a wrong manner.
Kurdish Info 25.06.2010- The resolution should be a matter of discussion, not the prevention of operations.  People’s Union of Kurdistan (KCK)  Executive Council Member Cemal Bayik spoke to Firat News Agency with regards to the policies that are preventing a resolution. He stated that although the issue has been discussed after the Semzinan operation, the discussion was carried out in the same mentality.

Kurdish Info 24.06.2010- President of the People’s Union of Kurdistan (KCK)  Executive Council emphasised the fact that the AKP government, with its policy of annihilation, has launched a war against the Kurdish people. Two villages set on fire in Hasankeyf by turkish soldiers
Kurdish Info 24.06.2010- Two villages set on fire in Hasankeyf district of Batman by soldiers.According to news, the villages of Bizinka (Keçeli) and Xerbekar (Palamutlu) were set on fire by soldiers and the residents of the villages were prevented by soldiers from putting out the fire. Peasants applied to the Human Rights Association to get help due to make denouncement against soldiers.The fire is still continuing.Human Rights Association (IHD) sent a committee to investigate the allegations about two villages’ were being set on fire by soldiers in Batman.

Young university student, he joined the PKK, after years of presecution
He was taken to court when he was a second year student at Ankara Gazi University; because of the pressures by police office and the district governorship, he was thrown out of his house by his landlord; he was detained and arrested accused of being a member of education union Eğitim-Sen, which he had visited as a guest. While Prime Minister Erdoğan was saying that the ‘PKK is a subcontractor organization’ on TV, Necati Güneş was experiencing repression and detention. He joined the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) on 18 May 2009. He lost his life on 19 June 2010 during the attack carried out by the Kurdish guerrilla in Şemdinli/Hakkari, last weekend.

Seventeen-year-old minor sentenced to ten years and eight months in prison
DIHA 23.06.2010 – M.B., a seventeen-year-old youth, has been sentenced to ten years and eight months in prison by Diyarbakir 5th High Criminal Court. M.B., convicted of “committing a crime without being a member of organization”, “making propaganda for an illegal organization”, “resisting against police by weapon or appliances”, “keeping explosive material without permission” and “damaging property”, has already been incarcerated for two years.
