Six Turkish soldiers killed and ten wounded in rocket attack in Iskenderun
Six Turkish soldiers were killed and ten wounded in a rocket attack on a naval base in Hatay (Iskenderun). Last night at around 00.40, the military navy base have come under rocket attack.

President of Kurdistan Parliament condemns Turkey and Iran
President of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament Kamal Kirkuki condemned
recent attacks by Iran and Turkey on the border region.Kirkuki told the members of the parliament that Iran and Turkey are
responsible for civilian causalities and called both countries to
immediately stop bombing Kurdish region.
MP Kaplan: Systematic Plan against Kurdish Students
Semra PELEK- Peace and Democracy Party Şırnak MP Kaplan described the "Action Plan" sent to universities by the Council of Higher Education as "Five-Year Medium-Term Plan" aimed at "systematically arresting and detaining Kurdish university students.
Commissioner Hammarberg concludes his visit to Diyarbakir and Ankara
Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights – The Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, Thomas Hammarberg, concluded today a three-day visit to Diyarbakir and Ankara during which he continued his dialogue with the Turkish authorities, following up on his two reports published in October 2009 regarding the human rights of minorities and refugees. In Diyarbakir the Commissioner met with regional and local authorities and NGOs and visited the E-type prison. In Ankara Commissioner Hammarberg held high-level meetings with officials of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Interior and Justice, as well as with UNHCR and NGOs.
Following the stricter enforcement of dress code in Iran’s universities,
the students at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences have been
notified of new dress code and code of conduct regulations. The
regulations are comprised of 7 chapters and 23 sections.

It has been reported that at least 16 soldiers died and many others were
injured during the clashes between PKK Kurdish guerrillas and soldiers
of Turkish army at Uludere/Hakkari border line two days ago. According
to the information from local sources, guerrillas distrained 8
Kalashnikov weapons of Turkish soldiers and many rangers were detained
so that they could not interfering with the clashes.
