KHRP Concerned at Sentencing of Arat Dink, son of Hrant Dink, Under Article 301
Press Release: For immediate release,17 October 2007 Kurdish Human Rights Project has received news of the sentencing of Arat Dink, editor of the Istanbul-based Armenian-Turkish Agos newspaper and son of the paper’s assassinated former editor Hrant Dink. Serkis Seropyan, the paper’s owner was also sentenced. Each was handed a one-year suspended sentence yesterday for ‘denigrating Turkishness’ through the publication of the words of Hrant Dink.

Academics Support Oran and Kaboglu
114 lecturers at the prestigious Bosphorus University (Istanbul) have condemned the trial of Prof. Dr. Baskin Oran and Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Kaboglu, the authors of the Minority Rights Report. The lecturers emphasise that the report "does not contain any elements of violence", as was claimed in the justification for the trial.
