We are launching our new joint campaign, entitled “The Kurds and International Agreements”. The first stage of this campaign will focus on the Kurds in Turkey.
Turkey is still far from achieving membership in the European Union. Arguments for this vary from lack of democracy, economic instability, violations of international law and so on. Additionally, Turkey has a very poor human rights record, which is documented in various human rights reports.

Guardian 30.05.2008-The prominent Kurdish politician Leyla Zana has called for dialogue to end the quarter century of conflict that has scarred south-eastern Turkey and killed more than 30,000 people.
Despite promises, Turkish PM visits Amed with cold heard and empty hands
Turkey PM Tayyip Erdogan paid a visit to Amed to state his projects
about Kurdish question. For more than six months PM Erdogan has been
promising that he had a package about the solution of Kurdish question.
Even though he tried to go to Amed several times, because of the
Kurds’ reaction against him, he cancelled his visit until
today.
