AKI -A decision by officials in Turkish-controlled Northern Cyprus to make an overture to Greek Cypriots in Nicosia by demolishing a controversial footbridge has provoked a rift with the Turkish military deployed on the island. Work to dismantle the footbridge situated at Lokmaci gate, in the heart of the Cypriot capital, began on Tuesday.
