Bianet-Wife of T.E. Geske, who had been brutally murdered as working in a Christian publishing house two weeks ago, Susanne says she will pursue a case against the authorities for failing to protect her husband and two others despite open threats.
Family lawyer İbrahim Kalı declared that deceased Tilman Ekkehart
Geske's wife Susanne will intervene to the criminal case against her
husband's murderers and she will also claim damages against the
authorities on grounds of negligence.
According to local Yenigün newspaper's article, Geske has
compared the brutal murder of the three working in Zirve publishing
house to the racist attack on Turkish descendants in Solingen, Germany
in early 1990's.
Susanne Geske said she wouldn't leave Malatya despite all: "We loved
Malatya, my children go to school here, my husband rests here. Others
should have solicited those children who murdered my husband. I want to
see them brought to justice".
İzmir Protestant Church's Pasteur Fikret Böcek noted that,
fearing for their lives, 15 of the 22 Christian families living in
Malatya have left the city after the incident, which incited
international attention.
We still receive threats, Böcek added.
On another account, Malatya Güncel newspaper reports that
another suspect thought to be linked to the murder has been taken under
custody in Kocaeli.
