DIHA - Throwing scarf is a tradition of Kurdish women to stop conflict and continues for years among the Kurdish. Scarf is a symbol of honor of women. Woman’s uncovering her head in front of crowd means current situation is not bearable anymore and needs to be stopped. Now, Kurdish women are using this tradition due to stop war on the mountains.
Peace Mother went to Ankara to present their opinion about conflict and meet with authorities such as Chief of General Stuff and President of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Those are asked for appointment didn’t answer the Peace Mother who were there for two days and staying in the tents in Abdi Ipekci Park. And Peace Mother played their last card by throwing their scarves in front of hundreds of people.

Mothers who left the meeting area addressed the authority: “We want to hug our children not their coffins. Shame on you for not saw our demand and efforts. Why they are afraid of peace. We are leaving now but we are going to be human shield due to stop the war. AKP is the only responsible for ongoing conflicts and deaths.”

BDP’s deputies Bengi Yildiz, Sirri Sakik and Pervin Buldan also accompanied Peace Mothers.
MP of BDP, Yildiz, Sakik and Buldan are going to take the scarves to the Prime Minister and President of Assembly.
